Buddha

My brother in law wants a buddha tattoo, but he said he couldn't find one that he likes online, so I took it upon myself to draw one up from him. This is based off of a picture of a brass statue of buddha. I think he's cute!

I thought he'd be better in b&g, although I'm really unsure of how to do b&g designs, I never know if I should use black to outline them or not? Any ideas? It seems too harsh in contrast to the soft b&g shading. What's the secret to making good b&g designs?

P.S. My scanner's still a jerk! LOL
